Femi Atolagbe Kwara United Football Club yesterday defeated Sunshine Stars 1-0 in the match day 34 of the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL .The Akure based side started the matchday on a good note at Kwara State Stadium, but the hosts made a difference in the 28th minute when Junior Lokosa headed into Sunshine Stars net from a close range .Chigozie Chilekwu had earlier denied from scoring in the 16th minute after he picked from Ebonam Nwogbada pass . Kwara United did not relent in extending their lead in the 40th minute ,but Sunshine Stars Goalkeeper, Japhet Opubo was on hand to save the hosts’ threat.The restart of the encounter produced no further goal as the hosts kept the three points in the kitty to sit on the log with 52 points while Sunshine Stars were unmoved on seventh position on the log with 48points
