The Ondo State government has banned the activities of night clubbing beyond midnight and the operation of commercial motorcycles from 6 pm in the state.
Akogun Adeleye, the special adviser to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Security matters, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the measure remains a top priority for the governor’s administration to ensure the “protection of lives and properties of the good people” of the state.
Adeleye, who is also the Corps Commander of Amotekun, stated that the use of vehicles with tinted glasses without a permit, unregistered vehicles and the use of sticker number plates instead of car dealership-approved stickers are also prohibited.
He added that the state government urges all vehicle owners and motorcycle owners to register their vehicles and motorcycles or defaulters would face the full wrath of the law.
“All security agencies are hereby enjoined to impound all such motorcycles and vehicles while the owners or riders would be prosecuted,” he said.
