HIS EXECELLENCY GOVERNOR ARAKUNRIN OLUWAROTIMI ODUNAYO AKEREDOLU (SAN) LAUNCHES SECURITY SURVEILLANCE APP (ONDO EYES) AT THE PASSING OUT PARADE OF AMOTEKUN
At the passing out parade of Course 3 and 4 Amotekun Corps, Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu announces the launch of a security surveillance app in Ondo State called ONDO EYES (Oju Ondo) which is set to launch. He further explained that the platform can be regarded as a tech-based neighborhood watchman/whistleblower platform where citizens can report a crime in real-time to alert all security agencies for prompt intervention.
The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN has said that the Ondo State security Network Agency, Code named Amotekun Corps, will be armed as backed by law, otherwise, the training will be inadequate and the lives of great patriots will be placed in danger.
With this innovative platform, he explained that the platform will ensure that residents and indigenes of Ondo State truly become their brother’s keepers.
ONDO EYES is set to launch as both a website and an application that can be easily downloaded on the user’s phone and engaged as a crime reporting tool on the go. It will serve as a whistleblower and every citizen’s mobile phone can be used to record and upload crime in real-time while it will also serve as an alarm system to alert all security agencies.
These measures are necessary following the recent reports of high insecurity in the nation. kidnappers, bandits, etc. It is important that indigenes and residents engage with this platform to ensure the overall safety of everyone. ONDO EYES (Oju Ondo) it is our collective duty to be our neighbor’s keeper.

Akeredolu stressed that his administration will continue to support the operational capacity of all security agencies in the State both in terms of equipment and the welfare of their personnel, adding that the passing out ceremony is a reminder of the need to strategize and tackle the current security situation, which he said has been left to snowball into existential crises across Nigeria.
Akeredolu said, “The Western Nigeria Security Network, AMOTEKUN CORPS, as a response, is now not just the first line of defense, but the ultimate bulwark in the protection of a way of life and civilization”.
“On our part, we will continue to support the operational capacity of all security agencies in the State both in terms of equipment and the welfare of their personnel”.
The ONDO EYE (Oju Ondo), is coming in at an important time when our State security infrastructure needs all the support and cooperation they can get from residents and indigenes of the state.
