Three die in Accident, 12 cheat death as Kidnappers kill popular Businessman on Ondo

No fewer than three persons have died in a fatal road accident that occurred on the Akure-Owo Expressway, Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Sunday morning.

The accident involved a Toyota Sienna bus and a twelve passenger bus.

It was gathered that 12 people cheated death as they were also injured

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Ezekiel SonAllah, confirmed the incident.

 He said the crash was caused by wrongful overtaking and speed violation on the part the drivers involved.

KIDNAPPERS KILL POPULAR BUSINESSMAN IN AKOKO

Unknown suspected kidnappers have allegedly killed a popular cream dealer, Augustine Okoye in Ugbe Akoko in Akoko Northeast local government area of Ondo state after he was abducted alongside his wife on the Isua-Ise Akoko Road; SUNSHINETRUTH can report.

It was gathered that the kidnappers killed their victim after collecting an undisclosed amount of ransom from the family of the igbo man but freed the wife.

The wife disclosed that their abductors warned her not to tell the ransom payments negotiators that were bringing money about the husband demise otherwise she will also be killed.

A Police source in Ikare Akoko confirmed the incident saying the Avalon car the victims were using for their business had been recovered from the scene of the incident.

The source also disclosed that police, Amotekun corps and the local vigilante groups are now combing the forest to recover the dead body and also apprehend the culprits.

This notorious Ise to Isua road have recorded many cases of kidnapping and armed robbery in the past when an Ikun Akoko born police officer was killed on the checking point and riffle was taken away.
