Honorable Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiola Makinde alongside his wife, Dr Rhoda Makinde, founder of Dr Rhoda Makinde Initiative, DROMI,on Tuesday led party leaders,constituents, family, friends and well-wishers to their Annual Thanksgiving Service and Praise.
The event which was held at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo City featured the popular gospel singer, Evang. Mrs. Bola Are JP., Akinwande Akintayo, Evang. Seto Akinwande, alongside other gospel ministers who performed at the event.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Makinde while appreciating members of the constituency stated that the success recorded in his led administration can only be attributed to the grace of the divine.
According to him, the fulfilment of his mandate as promised by him was made possible through the grace of God and the relentless support of the people of the constituency.
His statement was also reiterated by his wife, Dr. Mrs. Rhoda Makinde, who stated that the people of the constituency are the gift of God for them.
“The beautiful strides recorded so far lays further credence to the fact that we have been blessed by God. It no surprise that we have a community of people who have continued to give their all to ensure the success of this representation.
“For this and many more, we appreciate God for us and this wonderful community of people who we are proud to be identified with” she added.
Also the Ondo State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, while giving her speech appreciated the people for their continual support for the Makinde led representation.
She also assured them that in the coming years, the people will have more to thank God for.
The Thanksgiving Service also featured other side attractions which included raffle draws through which several gifts were handed over to members of the constituency. Over 3000 food items were also given out to women and children at the event.
The event was attended by various religious leaders, members of diverse christian bodies and other important dignitaries across the state and beyond.
Also, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Hon. Wale Akinlosotu, Chairman Ondo West Local Govt; Hon. Ebenezer Akinsulire represented by his Vice, Jimi Akintunde,APC Ondo Central Senatorial District Candidate; Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN, APC House of Assembly candidate West 1; Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju, APC MHA candidate Ondo West Constituency II; Biola Oladapo were all in attendance to give thanks to God alongside The Makindes.
