H&B global sports to train30 female coaches in Akure

A private organisation and one of the leading training organisations for coaches in Nigeria, H&B global Sports, has concluded plans to train over 30 female coaches as part of efforts to develop female football in Nigeria.

The founder H&B Global Sports, Henry Abiodun, stated this on Tuesday in an interview with newsmen in Akure.

Abiodun, who is an NFF and CAF Instructor, said the ‘All Female Coaching Course’ was a technical support for development of Nigeria women’s football.

He added that the registration for the coaching course is free, with deadline set for Oct.9 and main event slated for Oct.16 in Akure.

“All the girls will also go through a two hour online course from the El Roi London tagged “women’s leadership in sports.”

“This programme is organised by H&B Global Sports at no cost to the female football coaches.

The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the El Roi London University,Ambassador (Prof.) Olufemi Esan will lecture the female coaches.

“There’s no doubt that female football coaches globally are not giving enough support to constantly development and build capacity.

“H&B Global Sports have decide to run “The Modern Day Football Coach 1 Clinic” on the 16th of October in Akure, Ondo State.

“Thirty female football coaches are expected to benefit from the free technical support H&B Global Sports presented to the Nigeria Women’s Football,” he said.

Abiodun said that the training was also to bridge the gender gap in sport leadership in the country.

“We hope this milestone and first of it’s kind experience will further bridged the gender gap in sports leadership in Nigeria.
