Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure yesterday played a 1-1 draw with Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to earn their first away point.
The Duke Osimaga gave Sunshine Stars the lead in the 51 minute of the matchday seven encounter decided at the Adokiye Amiecsimaka Stadium Port Harcourt.
Moment later, Moses Omodumeke could have increased the Sunshine Stars lead, but was unlucky to have hit the cross bar with his thunderous outside box strike .
The Akure based side held on to the lead till added time before the host scored die minute leveller that ended the match in draw.
