Ondo, Ekiti get new Assistant Inspector General of Police ‘AIG’

AIG ADEBOWALE BECOMES ZONE 17 POLICE NEW BOSS

This is to inform the general public that AIG Adebowale Williams psc (+), fdc has assumed office as the 7th Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 17 comprising Ondo state and Ekiti state. He assumed office following the redeployment of his predecessor, AIG Ebong E Ebong psc(+), mni to Zone 4 headquarters, Makurdi.

  1. The new AIG hails from Akure South LGA Ondo State.He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Political Science, Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and a (Bachelor of Law degree) LL.B in Law. He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on the 18th of May, 1992.
  2. AIG Adebowale has served the Force in various capacities, including but not limited to the following;

-Oc Special Anti- Robbery Squad, Enugu State Command

-Police Public Relations Officer Enugu State Command

  • Divisional Police Officer, Ayingba Division, Kogi State
  • Divisional Police Officer, ‘A’ Division, Lokoja, Kogi State
  • Staff Officer attached to Federal Operations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja

-Area Commander Kontagora, Niger State

-Member IGP Special Investigation Unit, Force Headquarters, Abuja

-Deputy Commissioner of Police, State CID, Niger State Command (DC SCID)

-Director Professional Studies, Police Staff College, Jos Plateau State.

-CP Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Gombe (in charge of
North East)

  • Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command
  • Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 7, Abuja
  1. The AIG is a Fellow of the National Defence College. He’s happily married and blessed with kids
