Our remarkable achievements for Students under Akeredolu —SSA, Ogunyemi


Dear Sunshine Students, I can see the sun shining brightly on your faces. There is no doubt that it is a reflection of the super support of our dear governor.

It is important to further bring your attention to the exemplary efforts made by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, in the areas of student bursaries, scholarships, support, and policy formulation within our state.

Governor Akeredolu has undoubtedly proven himself to be a student-friendly governor, tirelessly working towards empowering the future leaders of our society. Last year alone, the bursary and scholarship funds disbursed under his administration amounted to over 175 million Naira, a testament to his unwavering commitment to students’ welfare. I am delighted to inform you that this year, the funds have been further increased to over 210 million Naira, reflecting Governor Akeredolu’s dedication to continuous improvement in supporting student development.

The governor’s enthusiasm in matters concerning student advancement is best encapsulated in his REDEEMED AGENDA. Through his visionary leadership, Governor Akeredolu has fostered a sense of pride among Sunshine State students, providing them with greater opportunities to contribute to society and have a stake in leadership roles. The impact of his initiatives is evident in the shining faces and aspirations of the students here today. We draw a lot of inspiration from Mr. Governor to pursue rigorously our passion to make Ondo State better.

Mr. Governor has, over the years, supported the most peaceful and transparent Students’ election ever witness in the history of our State. No doubt, it is because of the premium importance placed on our loving students.

Our gathering today is not merely a celebration but a manifestation of the love and unwavering support that Governor Akeredolu extends to students across the state. As we witness this remarkable occasion, it is a reminder of the progress we have achieved and the potential for even greater achievements in the future. Let us continue to build upon these gains with the astute support and guidance of our esteemed leader, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON., Executive Governor of Ondo State.

On this joyous occasion, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Governor Akeredolu for his remarkable achievements thus far. His relentless pursuit of excellence in promoting student development is truly commendable, and we are grateful for his unwavering commitment to the future of our state.

I can’t also but thank the students for the wonderful collaboration and partnership for successes over the years. Can there be any better conglomerate of Students anywhere in the world? The answer is obviously NO. It is either the Sunshine Students or nothing more.

In conclusion, let us seize the opportunities that lie before us.
And let us never forget that the government of this state is working tirelessly to ensure that we have the resources and support we need to succeed.

On this International Students Day, I encourage each one of you to pursue your dreams with unwavering determination. Together, let us make the most of this incredible journey, leaving a mark not only in our own lives but also in this sunshine state.
