Akoko Anglican Church honours Ondo NUJ Chairman, Adegbite, Ondo HoS, others today

The Ondo State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Prince Leke Adegbite, is among some prominent Akoko Sons and Daughters to be honoured by Anglican Church, Akoko diocese.

Prince Adegbite, the Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, and the Alale of Akungba-Akoko, Oba. Isacc Adeyeye, will be honoured with “Archdeacon L. A. Lennon Golden Unique Leadership Awards.”

The presenter of the award, the Diocese of Akoko, St. Stephen Cathedral, Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State, revealed this in a letter of notification addressed to Prince Leke Adegbite.

According to the letter, the ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 26th of December 2023 at the new Cathedral church auditorium in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of the State by 9:00am.

The seven others are: Prince Olabanji Ajaguna U.S.A; Barrister Akin Jinadu; Prof Omoposi Idowu Omosuyi, Afe Babalola University; Mr. Olusola Moses Olubola, Head of forestry Akoko S.E; Prince Adeyinka Idowu Ajaguna, M.T.N Nigeria; Eng. Olanipekun Joseph, Sulaiman Akin Sola and Elder Chief Amos Micus Omuiyadun, Commissioner of Police.

Meanwhile, the State Secretary Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Meshack Olaoluwa, in a statement felicitated St. Stephen Cathedral Church on the occasion of its Patron Week 2023.

The statement read, “We, the entire NUJ family, the Executives & members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council heartily felicitate the Church as it celebrates St. Stephens Cathedral Patron Week 2023.”

“Our hearts are full of appreciations as you honour our Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite with the ARCHDEACON L.A. LENNON GOLDEN UNIQUE LEADERSHIP AWARD.”

“No doubt, it is a well-deserved honour considering his leadership quality in piloting the affairs of the media industry and professionals in the state.”

“We pray that Almighty God continues to expand your coast and strengthen you in your quest to win more souls, with Christ being your leading light.”

“Congratulations to our leader, Omo’ba Leke Adegbite once more!”
