Barely few minutes into the inauguration of Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the Governor of Ondo State, some members of the State Executive Council have started turning in their resignation letters.
The first to turn in resignation letter is the Special Adviser to late Arákùnrin Akeredolu on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr. Dare Aragbaye. According to him, his decision was based on personal conviction and “loyalty to Arakunrin Akeredolu even in death”.
The Chief Press Secretary to the former governor, Richard Olatunde also resigned, thanking the government for the opportunity to serve.
Also, the Senior Special Assistant to late Akeredolu on Special Duties, Dr. Doyin Odebowale has resigned. He thanked the government for the opportunity to serve the people of Ondo State.
On Thursday, December 28, the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Infrastructure, Raimi Aminu also turned in his letter of resignation.
Meanwhile, the new governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has started assemblage of his team with some appointments such as the Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan and Smart Omodunbi as Special Assistant on political Matters, among other appointments.
