The AKETI I Know: Day 1 out of 7 Days Tribute to a great Political Gladiator as we bid him farewell to the world beyond

Our late Governor, his excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is a vibrant and an outspoken man who never mince words when he talks. He expresses himself fearlessly and bluntly, he never forgets deeds and expresses deep gratitude for such. I was a recipient of this while he was alive.

He never failed to speak about me in public gatherings whenever he sees me.
While how we connected and my contributions to his gubernatorial re-election in 2020 is not something for public consumptions, Aketi however publicly at Trace’s 10th year’s anniversary celebration and Award ceremony on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Mat Gas Event Centre, Oshinle, Akure, Ondo State publicly acknowledged my hard work, my contributions to his electoral victory.

He never minced words in expressing his gratitude to a “Small Me” in a room full of over two thousand people in the presence of all his political and social friends.

He was to be Awarded Trace Man of the year and was supposed to give his acceptance speech but instead chose to first appreciate and eulogize me. I was shocked.

I was awarded young woman of the decade award in recognition of my selfless appetite for service. For those who were in that room that day, I’m sure you could testify that for over five minutes, Aketi singled me out for Commendation, appreciation, recognition and admiration.

His words for me was so captivating that every one in the hall was not only shocked and surprised but was full of admiration for me after his speech.

That is the Aketi I know, a man who never hid his gratitudes for those he appreciates and cares about. He acknowledges and appreciates hard work done even in secrets in the open. To know his true mind for all around him, let’s simply review his public expressions while he was Alive. Aketi was a man that never hid his love for those he love!

As you journey to the world beyond, our dear Aketi, May the angels lighten your path and grant your soul a befitting eternal rest.
May God Almighty Comfort Your Immediate family and the entire Sunshine State.

Fare Thee Well Aketi!
