Aiyedatiwa, Edema, Akinterinwa harp on love, compassion |

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged residents of the state to show more love to one another and preach against hate. In his Easter message, Aiyedatiwa said that forgiveness should be the utmost priority for everyone, stressing that “as you forgive, the Lord will relieve you of anger, resentment and pain and bring you peace.” In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor said: “I greet all our Christian brothers and sisters as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. “I urge you to increase your love for one another rather than hate and show more patriotic commitment to the development of our state. Also, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election, Olugbenga Edema, has urged everyone to use the season as a time of reflection and renewal. Edema said that the value of love and compassion should be paramount. On his part, Wale Akinterinwa, in a statement by the Spokesperson of the Wale Akinterinwa Campaign Organisation, Segun Ajiboye, urged the people of the state to continue to live in peace and show love to one another. He charged the people to keep hope for a better and greater Ondo State. According to him, “Easter, which is celebrated in remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, preaches love and the hope of everlasting life. As believers in the word, we need to continue to have hope and faith in a better and more prosperous Ondo State. “Soon, the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu will begin to take root in our dear state, one in which all of us will be proud stakeholders. It is time for rekindled hope in our state, a state where the sun will shine brightly once again.”
