Poor JAMB Result: DAF seeks timely conclusion of ongoing Teachers’ recruitment by Ondo govt, modern education facilities in rural areas

JAMB Result 2024: Prioritize the completion of Teacher’s Recruitment exercise and strategic investment in rural education infrastructure —DAF Appeal to Ondo State Government

In light of the recent performance of candidates in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB), concerns have been raised regarding the state of education in Ondo State. The data from the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, as released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), underscore a troubling reality: seventy percent (70%) of candidates failed to meet the established academic standards. This statistical revelation serves as a stark indicator of the systemic challenges entrenched within our educational framework.

As an advocate of equitable access to quality education, we appeal to the Government of Ondo State to prioritize the swift finalization of ongoing teacher recruitment exercises, ensuring that schools are adequately staffed with competent teachers who possess the requisite passion and expertise to cultivate an environment conducive to academic excellence.

We further appeal to the state government to also redirect its focus towards strategic investment in rural educational development and infrastructure, including the provision of enticing incentives to teachers willing to serve in these areas.

In conclusion, we call upon the Government of Ondo State to seize this crucial moment as an opportunity to initiate substantive reforms within our educational system. The need for transformative change is paramount, and concerted efforts must be undertaken to ensure that every student in Ondo State is afforded the opportunity to thrive academically.
