Ondo Guber poll: Agboola charges residents to be part of INEC CVR

Ahead of the scheduled governorship election in Ondo state, His Excellency, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, the PDP gubernatorial candidate has urged the people of the state, especially those of voting age, to take advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission’ (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise seriously as it is vital for them to exercise their franchise the forthcoming election.

Speaking in Akure on Tuesday, the former Deputy Governor emphasised that citizens must ensure that they have a stake in determing whoever leads them, therefore no effort must be spared to ensure that they are eligible to vote in November.

He commended INEC on the CVR initiative geared towards upgrading the voters register at the onset of preparations for every election, and “implore residents of the state, to mobilize our kith and kin to and do the needful, to enable them vote in November.”

“The coming election remains a great opportunity for us as a people to decide the quality of government we deserve as power resides with the people who alone can determine who they want to entrust with it.”

Ajayi concluded that people must take the discharge of their civic responsibility serious always.
