Aiyedatiwa orders defrayment of gratuities of retired Teachers, LG Workers

….LG Commissioner, Takuro Reveals date of payment.

ONDO GOVERNMENT BEGINS 2ND BATCH OF BULK DEFRAYMENT OF GRADUITY ARREARS ON TUESDAY.

In continuation of the gradual bulk defrayment of Graduity Arrears for Local Government and Primary School Retirees, the Ondo State Government begins 2nd batch payment on Tuesday.

The Commisioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro gave this hint in his office in Akure.

Amidu Takuro said being a government that is sensitive to the plight of the people, the Aiyedatiwa -led administration has decided to pay the gratuities of retirees enblock ,rather than paying piece meal.

The Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Commissioner added that the first tranche of the bulk payment of gratuities arrears was paid late last year, by the immediate past Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

In continuation of this good work, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa has decided not only to continue in this trend , but to make it quarterly.

Amidu Takuro further stated that Governor Aiyedatiwa has been alive to his responsibilities as regards payment of Pensions, Salaries of Workers and other entitlements.

In his words, Alhaji Amidu Takuro disclosed that Governor Aiyedatiwa has graciously released the sum of One billion Naira to defray the gratuities of Local Government and Primary School Retirees that retired in year 2012.

While urging Retirees and the entire Workforce to give their unflinching support to the Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa led administration, Takuro promised better days, lies ahead.
