REPORT OF THE GENERAL MEETING OF APC AKOKO NORTH EAST HELD ON SATURDAY 21ST OF SEPTEMBER 2024 AT THE PARTY SECRETARIAT OKELA IKARE
The meeting started around 11:00am with the opening prayer said by Hon Akindele Omotunwase Ojo. The meeting was supervised by PA Jacob Oredola the Senatorial chairman of Ondo North.
The party chairman Hon Saliu Mumuni olanrewaju who doubled as SA to the governor on Mobilisation, in his opening speech, welcomed all the leaders , stakeholders and all members of the party to the meeting.
Hon Saliu Mumuni Olanrewaju commended the achievement of present Local government party executive that worked tirelessly to ensure the actualisation of the Senatorial position in Akoko North East Local government,in person of Distinguished senator Olajide Ipinsagba.
The chairman also in his speech, delivered the message of the leaders who were on apology due to one reason or the other. The names of the leaders are: Distinguished Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, Former Deputy Governor Alhaji lasisi Oluboyo, Hon Otolorin elegbeleye ,Hon Oluwatoyin Victor Japhet MHA Representing AKNE, Hon Mohammed mutiu olawale the chairman transition committee Akoko North East Local government, RT Hon Olotu Fatai Orege and The state treasurer, pastor Moshood ishola.
Hon Saliu Mumuni Olanrewaju also, announced the amount released by hon minister to host the next ward meeting in the various ward aside the money released for today’s meeting. Not only this, he announced 500,000 released by our distinguished senator and 250,000 naira released by Hon Otolorin Elegbeleye respectively.
Hon Bode Obanla,the senior special assistant to his Excellency lucky orimisan Aiyedatiwa on community engagement expressed his gladness on the massive turn out of members in the meeting.He also thanked almighty God on his departure from PDP. In his speech, he donated some of 500,000 naira to support the money released by Hon Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo the minister of interior.
The Hon commissioner for environment Mr Oyeniyi Oseni pleaded with the people of the wards that have not benefited from His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa recent political appointment to remain calm that something reasonable will be done to address it soon
PA,Hon Jacob Oredola the Senatorial chairman for Ondo North who monitored the meeting expressed his gratitude towards the turnout of our members and he said “he is rest assured that APC will massively defeat PDP in the upcoming governorship election in the state.
He also praise the minister of interior for his immense contribution to the development of the party in the federal constituency and in the entire state.
The party chairman Hon Saliu Mumuni mumuni olanrewaju made the announcement about ongoing free eye medical surgery powered by the distinguished senator Olajide Ipinsagba at the state specialist hospital Ikare Akoko that commences today. He however advised people that have eyes problem to attend the place to benefit from it.
In the meeting, the party chairman Hon Saliu Mumuni mumuni Olanrewaju received more than 1000 people who defected from PDP to APC today.
The people of the local government promised to deliver massive votes for his Excellency lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa come November 16th 2024.
Conclusively, the meeting was peaceful and successful without rancour.
