ONDO AND EKITI STATES FOSTER COLLABORATION ON LEVERAGING ICT TO STRENGTHEN REGIONAL DIGITAL ECONOMIES
I had the privilege of engaging with Mr. Seun Fakuade, the Honourable Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Digital Economy in Ekiti State, during a strategic visit to their Ministry today. Our meeting was centered around fostering collaboration and exchanging insights that will contribute to the growth of the digital economies in both Ondo and Ekiti States.
Upon arrival at the ministry,I was warmly welcomed by the Permanent Secretary,Mr Ayo Adeyanju,alongside their dedicated team that comprises SSA and SA to the Ekiti state Governor on ICT and Innovation,and Directors of the ministry. Our discussions covered various aspects of digital innovation, focusing on leveraging technology to drive economic growth and improve governance service delivery.
The commissioner also led me to the the Ekiti State Bureau of ICT,where the Executive Secretary,Mrs E.B Abayomi,provided a detailed presentation on their current projects,initiatives and framework of the bureau.
This inter-state meeting signals the beginning of a new chapter in regional cooperation between Ondo and Ekiti states,and I am confident that the strategic partnership established will significantly bolster digital innovation in Ondo State,in line with the vision of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. I look forward to the positive outcomes of this collaboration and to future engagements with Ekiti State, as we work together to unlock the full potential of the digital economy in our region.
