The second edition of the Ondo State Football League has kicked off with a bang as Real Ifon FC annihilated Focus FC 7-0 in the first match of the second edition of the league in Owo.
The match, played at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO) stadium, Owo had Real Ifon scoring six goals in the first half of the game.
In the second half, all efforts to reduce the deficit by Focus FC proved abortive as Real Ifon put the icing on the cake to make it 7-0 to end the game.
In the Game, Oluwole Kehinde scored hattrick for the real Ifon.
The Assistant Coach of Real Ifon FC, Toba Abiloro, said his team had prepared and ready to ensure that they emerged from the group.
Abiloro said his team just entered final in two grassroots competitions which showed that they had what it required to progress to the next round.
He said the hattrick hero, Oluwole Kehinde, had been with the team and even scored 12 goals in the last competition they participated.
Also speaking with newsmen, Promise Agboola, said lack of training affected his team’s performance.
Agboola said his team would go back to the drawing board to ensure that it qualifies from the competition.
In other result from Owo centre, Emailed FC and Reigns FC played out goalless draw, while At the Akoko Centre Karaka FC fell to a shock defeat to KB FC 1-0.
