Femi Atolagbe

A share of the spoils eluded Sunshine Queens as they were down 1-0 to Ekiti Queens in the Matchday five of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

Ekiti Queens defeated the Ondo State based side with a second half goal in the matchday five encounter played at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.

After the first half  ended in goalless draw, with the visitors showing some flashes of early lead ,which never materialized .

Former Sunshine Queens FC player, Miracle ohaeri separated both sides with her lone goal in the 62nd minute to put the home side ahead.

Despite the Sunshine Queens’ protests, the center referee looked the other way.
